Annotation: This conservation plan identifies current threats to the greater sage-grouse and their habitats in Colorado and suggests management practices for its conservation. The Conservation Strategy of Section VI identifies issues in sage grouse management, objectives for resolving each issue, and strategies to help meet the objectives. This document discusses management practices for reducing three effects of oil and gas development on sage grouse. These three effects are: direct disturbance and mortality of sage grouse; direct destruction of sage grouse habitat; and landscape-level effects.
