Annotation: This report discusses the investigation of using membrane-filtration technologies in achieving the goals of the Environmentally Friendly Drilling Systems program. The goals of the EFS are to develop solutions to reduce size of reserve pits needed in drilling operations, to significantly reduce waste volume through the extraction of water from drilling wastes, encouraging reuse of the extracted water in drilling operations, and the concentration of suspended solids.
