Annotation: "The Federal Land Policy and Management Act (FLPMA) requires that the BLM "develop, maintain, and when appropriate, revise land-use plans" (43 United States Code [USC] 1712 [a]). The BLM has determined it is necessary to revise the existing land-use plan (LUPs) and prepare a new RMP for the Moab Field Office (MFO) based on a number of new issues that have arisen since preparation of the existing plans. In general, the purpose of this RMP is to provide a comprehensive framework for public land management within the MFO and its allocation of resources pursuant to the multiple-use and sustained yield mandate of FLPMA."
