Title: Reverse osmosis uses cross-flow filtration to treat CBM-produced water
Text: "Reverse Osmosis: Reverse Osmosis (RO), also known as hyper filtration... utilizes cross-flow filtration of high TDS water through a high-pressure, semi-permeable, cellophane-like membrane. [In CBM applications, treated water is surface discharged and brine is either injected/reinjected or disposed of at a commercial brine disposal facility. Recovered solids can be used for industrial uses or as an ice melting compound for roads.]" (see the source document for more detail on the RO process)
