"Capacitive Desalinization: The capacitive desalination (deionization) or electronic water purification (EWP) process treats water high in salts and heavy metals by pumping treatment water through electrically charged carbon aerogel sheets, which trap ions but allow pure water to pass through. Since this process does not require the regeneration of ion exchangers using acids and bases, as the ion exchange process does, there is no secondary waste produced." |
