Annotation: |
The FSEIS describes alternatives for expanding development of the Pinedale Anticline Oil and Gas Exploration and Development Project and evaluates their environmental impacts. Appendix 4 includes restrictions BLM may impose on operations to reduce or eliminate negative impacts. The appendix addresses infrastructure, wildlife, wetlands/riparian, air quality, water, hazardous wastes etc. |
Required vs. Recommended: |
"Recommended -- These Practices and Restrictions for the Pinedale Anticline Project Area are available for application to APDs and right-of-ways during the site-specific review, where economically and technically feasible. This appendix is not an exhaustive list of all the restrictions BLM may impose on operations to reduce or eliminate impacts. These are subject to modification through adaptive management and are also subject to exception as outlined in the BLM RMP (BLM, 1988b) and Appendix A-6 of the PAPA ROD (BLM, 2000b). pg. 4-1. |
Ownership: |
Federal -- BLM decisions and recommendations generally apply only to BLM-administered lands, which include Federal surface estate, subsurface mineral estate, or both. They do not apply to surface or subsurface mineral estate over which the BLM has no jurisdiction. |
