Annotation: Stormwater Management Plans (SWMPs) are a required item under the Construction Stormwater Discharge Permit. This document is designed to help permitees develop a SWMP for construction projects. It explains what each of the SWMP requirements means, and gives some options for you to consider in developing Best Management Practices (BMPs) that are best suited to your site during construction. This guidance document primarily addresses the SWMP requirements in the construction general permit. Appendix C includes some very general BMPs for stormwater management. Appendix D includes a bibliography of documents with stormwater BMPs.
