Annotation: This publication provides a set of guidelines that are broadly useful to guide oil and gas development in New Mexico. It is intended for the information and discretionary use of regulatory agencies and concerned citizens as well as industry. Oil and gas development can have negative impacts on native wildlife and habitat, primarily through fragmentation and degradation of habitat. These guidelines are intended to promote attention to conserving wildlife and habitat while continuing to develop energy resources.
