This article discusses the impacts of coal bed natural gas development on Sage Grouse in the Powder River Basin and evaluates currently used lease stipulations. It concludes that regulatory agencies may need to increase spatial restrictions on development and industry may need to rapidly implement more effective mitigation measures to reduce impacts of CBM development on sage-grouse populations. |
