The Air Water Gas Sustainability Research Network was funded by the National Science Foundation to investigate the effects of oil and gas development on the Rocky Mountain Region from 2012 - 2017. The summary report highlights work from the first four years of this grant. The goals of AWGSRN researchers are to (1) conduct research on the environmental, social, and economic effects of oil and gas development; (2) develop frameworks to address trade-offs associated with the practice and regulation of oil and gas development; and (3) engage with stakeholders in oil and gas development to better understand and address issues of concern. |
