Annotation: |
In this article, the author first briefly reviews what is currently (1997) known about induced seismicity, including what activities are believed to induce seismicity, examples of where seismicity has been induced, and what damages resulted. She then discusses in greater depth the history of induced seismicity in Colorado, the current status of Colorado induced seismicity and the potential for future seismicity in this state. With this as the scientific and factual background, she analyzes how Colorado law can be applied to induced seismicity. |
