Text: "Minimizing Surface Exposure: Some operators are trying to do away with reserve pits. They are using steel tanks for a closed-loop system. The cuttings and other fluid discharges from the well are dumped into the steel tanks, where vacuum trucks will suck it out of the tanks and haul it off for disposal."
